On December 23rd, CCPA Iraq arranged a festival for 200 children from different parts of the country to mark the end of a successfull 2011 season. All the participating children and volunteering coaches had earlier this year taken part in Open Fun Football Schools.
The schools from Fallujah, Hay al-Amil, Rahmaniyah and al-Salaam each brought 50 children between 10 and 13 years to Baghdad to participate in the festival.
The festival lasted from 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, and all the activities were arranged by 30 CCPA coaches and volunteers.
Several TV-stations visited the station to talk to the children and volunteers behind the festival.
With this festival, CCPA Iraq has now organised festivals and football schools for more than 3500 boys and girls from all parts of Iraq.
CCPA Iraq is already looking forward to next year, where even more volunteers will be trained and even more children will have fun and meet new friends.
Happy New Year from Baghdad.
