CCPA organize Youth Camp in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq

Together with our friends from the Iraqi organisation Al-Salaam Football Schools, CCPA organized the first of many Youth Camps in Iraq.

The purpose of the Youth Camp was to establish the foundation for our shared vision, that the Iraqi Youth can unite freely across the different social and ethnic groups present in the country. It is therefore essential to this vision, that both sexes, all political groups, all religions and all ethniticities are represented in this Youth Network.

As a result, the youth formed 8 youth associations on the basis of their own interests and soon developed detalied project plans for the future. The association covers aspects as culture, sports, education, equal rights and social class inequality.
The ultimate aim for the participants is to have 100+ youth associations in their network within the next 3 years. This youth network will meet every 4 months to exchange knowledge and develop competences.
Once a year, the youth network arranges a youth festival called HUB24, which will function as a platform where the youth associations can meet and the youth can debate, develop their interests, male new friends, have fun and create more youth associations.
During the weekend, the Youth Camp achieved success in an area, where the Iraqi government and political entities have failed for decades – to unite the Iraqi youth in the hope for the future.
