The Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) and Danish Sports Federation/Danish Olympic Committee (DIF/DOC) have established a partnership, based on a scoping mission of DIF/DOC and CCPA to Bhutan in 2011.
The new Danish-Bhutanese partnership agreement was signed today on 9th May 2012 between Mr. Karma Tshiteem, Secretary, Gross National Happiness Commission, Mr. Henrik A. Nielsen, Councillor, Head of Representation Office of Denmark in Bhutan and Mr. Sonam Karma Tshering, Secretary General, Bhutan Olympic Committee.
The sport associations of the Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) and Danish Sports Federation/Danish Olympic Committee (DIF/DOC) have expressed keen interest to begin a co-operation to establish a robust sports governance system to efficiently deliver organized sports to all Bhutanese, focusing particularly on capacity development of the sports association in Bhutan through a vibrant partnership between the mentioned organizations.
