10 social football festivals for children within "Open Fun Football Schools" project started in Crimea on 21st of October. They open this year season of fun football games, lessons, competitions, contests and other measures based on "sports for all" principle.
Main goal of festivals is to engage children in healthy lifestyle and football training. It is important that fun festivals make football open for all, despite football skills level, sex, social background and family wealth. Fun football games have also become effective pedagogic tool of juvenile conflicts and crime prevention. And that is the main point of cooperation with the Department of Child Matters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine during festivals.
OFFS in Crimea were attended by Mr. Vitalii Pylypenko, the Head of FFU’s Grassroots Committee, Mr. Yevgeniy Stolitenko, the First Deputy of FFU’s Grassroots Committee, and Mr. Valeri Cholaria, Regional coordinator in Trans Caucasus, Ukraine and Moldova. Representatives of local authorities and other famous people have also visited fun festivals.
This year schedule of fun festivals in Crimea is following:
– October, 21-25 – city of Feodosia;
– October, 21-25 – Andriivka village (Svastopol);
– October, 21-25 – city of Dzhankoy;
– October, 23-27 – Saky district;
– October, 24-26 and October, 28-29 – Radyanskyi (Sovetskyi) district;
– October, 25-29 – city of Yalta;
– October, 25-29 – Chornomorskyi district;
– October, 25-27 ?????? and November,1-2 – city of Sudak;
– October, 28 – November, 1 – city of Simferopol;
– November, 1-5 – Leninskyi district.
