Sport Unites: Building Bridges in South Sudan with Cross Cultures

We are thrilled to announce that CISU has given the green light to the Cross Cultures Project Association’s inspiring initiative, “Youth Resilience in South Sudan.” This project, in partnership with the South Sudan Football Association, Global Aim and Bright Starlets, will significantly impact young people’s lives across South Sudan.

Our goal is simple yet powerful: to empower NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth, promote peace and resilience, and create lasting positive change. The project spans 24 months, targeting the Upper Nile and Jonglei states – areas that have faced immense challenges but hold great potential for positive transformation.

Project Highlights

Promoting Peace and Cohesion in South Sudan

We aim to unite 48,000 children through sports and cultural activities, fostering cooperation and trust across divided communities. We promote physical well-being and encourage peace and understanding by engaging children in these activities.

Our Approach

This initiative uses sports and cultural activities to build resilience through diverse, youth-led social networks that transcend societal barriers. We believe in sustainability and plan to establish youth-led associations, integrating them into regional football federations and the Ministry of Youth and Sport, ensuring a lasting impact.

The Bigger Picture

South Sudan has experienced decades of unrest, and today, it faces one of the most severe humanitarian crises globally. Through this initiative, Cross Cultures aims to nurture peace, resilience, and a sense of community among the youth – the future of South Sudan.

As we embark on this journey, we remain committed to our vision of a peaceful, cohesive, and resilient society, and we are excited to see the positive changes this project will bring.

Together, we can make a difference!
