Former Ambassador Ulrik Federspiel elected as new Chairman

We are pleased to welcome former Ambassador and Director General at the Prime Minister’s Office Ulrik Federspiel as the new Chairman of the Board of Cross Cultures.

Federspiel was elected last week at the General Assembly held in one of Cross Cultures’ newest partner countries, Morocco. Regarding his thoughts on Cross Cultures’ future he says:

When it comes to the future, there is something to build on. This [the General Assembly in Morocco, ed.] has proved that it is a viable organization that can grow in the future, for the benefit of children – not only in Morocco, but also in the many other places where we have programs around world. So I look very much forward to that; a good future for the benefit of children and young people” (own translation).

Federspiel serves several important boards, think tanks, and enterprises as advisor and executive committee member. We are looking forward to working with the new board, and to learn from Federspiel’s broad knowledge and international experiences which no doubt will be fruitful for Cross Cultures’ future.

Federspiel is replacing Finn Berggren who has served as the Chairman for the past seven years. We are thanking Beggren for his great effort and are happy that even though he is stepping down the Chair he will remain in the Board as member of the organization.
