UEFA has declared Wednesday May 16th 2012 as UEFA Grassroots Day, and in Moldova that was celebrated with one week of UEFA Grassroots Football from May 14th to 20th.
The entire country was boiling with football passion. Veterans and youngsters, men and women, students, government representatives, media, sponsors, people with disabilities all enjoyed football on stadiums and mini-pitches.
All 11 Open Fun Football schools 2012 from Moldova organized grassroots events in their regions. OFFS Balti (Transnistria), OFFS Dubasari (Transnistria), OFFS Nimoreni, OFFS Edinet, OFFS Ungheni, OFFS Anenii Noi, OFFS Magdacesti, OFFS Slobodzia, OFFS Vulcanesti (Gagauzya), OFFS FC Real Succes, OFFS Rezina.
FA of Moldova and CCPA/OFFS Moldova has provided balls, and each child received souvenirs and a UEFA Grassroots Day certificate.
