OPERATION DAGSVÆRK:Refugee Project Continues in Southern Iraq

The project has now moved down to the cities of Kut and Basra, providing sports, cultural and educational services to the children of the IDP’s of Turkmens and Shabaks, people whom fled provinces taken over by ISIS.
Last week, more than 300 children and 60 volunteers participated in the opening of CCPA schools for IDP’s in Kut and Basrah. A Baghdad delegation opened a school in Kut, while a Basra delegation opened one in Basra. Both delegations participated in opening schools in Najaf and Mishkhab.
The schools for IDP has now reached a total of 6 schools and will grow, as the Assyrians in Ainkawa, will open more schools for IDP Christians from the Nineveh Plains.
The growing network has contributed to volunteers working across tribal, sectarian, religious and ethnic background. Helping each others with innovative ideas and sharing each others expertise in different fields.
In other news, the Iraqi Olympic Committee will visit Copenhagen to discuss the opening of a national football academy in Baghdad, while a possible educational cooperation with 5 different federations from the Danish and the Iraqi Olympic Committee.
